Did you know that there is a FREE family-friendly activity that is now open for the season? Tampa Electric's Manatee Viewing Center is the spot to catch these awesome sea cows doing their cozy hangout by the TECO's Big Bend Power Station. Picture this: hundreds of manatees snuggling up in that clean, toasty water discharge—what a sight!

Since the '70s, these gentle giants have been regulars at the power station's canal, especially when the Tampa Bay water temp drops to 68 degrees or lower. And guess what? This year brings a new level of closeness with our sea buddies!

They're unveiling a brand-new viewing platform on Nov. 15, along with a spruced-up education hub and even electric golf carts to zip guests from the parking lot. More room, more manatee magic!

You can hang out with stingrays in a touch tank, hike nature trails, and climb a 50-foot tower for primo views. Plus, it's super accessible, with ADA-compliant boardwalks.

The Manatee Viewing Center is your go-to spot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except for Turkey Day, Christmas, and Easter. Best part? It's free to get in and park, but if you're feeling the manatee love, any donations go toward protecting these gentle giants and spreading the word on how awesome they are.
