A man said he was "frozen with fear" after supposedly encountering a UFO during a nighttime workout, reports The Express. While going through his exercise regime, the man said he saw what he interpreted as an alien craft hovering above him in the sky.
He recounted his chilling experience on Reddit, posting under the account name etscyy. "Last year, I think I had my first real-time UFO encounter," he wrote.
"I would like to establish that I live in a trailer park in North Carolina. It's a quiet area not much goes on at all here and from my knowledge. There are no air bases or anything like that around either."

The American-based man provided context and detail as his lengthy post went on. "It was 8pm, dark out, and I was alone by myself getting one last late night workout before I go to bed," he continued.
"The park has this place where they put everybody's mailbox, which is where I was around at the time I decided to look up to where the mailbox place is and see three red lights.
"They weren't bright but definitely had an aura and glow to them. None of them were blinking like planes or anything like that. They were in an upside-down triangle position.
"Two of them stood still and the one on the top left corner of the triangle started moving to the left and then back to the right and stopped back in perfect position.
"Almost like it was trying to show me something. They sat there for I wanna say around three minutes and then just ended up fading and dimming away."
Some people - especially UFO enthusiasts - would have been in awe of such an encounter. The Reddit user, however, was terrified. "It was such a weird experience and maybe it's where I was alone but I got this feeling of dread and genuinely felt fearful for my life like I was gonna die or something," he said.
"I was frozen up, to put it bluntly. Felt like there was a higher power. After they faded away I went back in my house and never told anybody about this experience."
The social media user could not, he said, brush off the experience. "Ever since that though is the weird part I have felt this feeling of dread and just can't get the encounter out of my head," he said.
"It felt so surreal and I want to share it here and maybe see if anybody has experienced these feelings after this encounter in an attempt to maybe feel normal again."
The supposed extraterrestrial experience, the fitness enthusiast said, conjured existential and abstract thoughts. "Feelings of littleness, thoughts, and wonders of why we're here on earth, what is the point of living, and what are we as humans," he noted.
"I feel like I sound crazy but I just haven't felt the same since that encounter and really needed to tell someone even if it's some random people online," his post concluded.
Many people on the Reddit forum were sympathetic with his response to the supposed UFO. "I don't think your experience is abnormal at all in terms of feeling dread and freaked out. I think you absolutely did the right thing by posting this and getting it off of your chest," one person wrote.
"I had a sighting when I was in college and I felt very much the same way. I felt small and insignificant. But I also felt excitement and wonder - fortunately for me the excitement and wonder outweighed the small and insignificant.
"Leaning into this topic and finding more people who had a similar experience will help you. "You will find that you absolutely are not crazy or alone. This s*** has happened to literally hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people at this point. Hang in there OP. Try to think of your experience as a gift."
Meanwhile, another Reddit user comforted the man by saying his reaction was common among people who have been in similar scenarios. "This feeling is indeed quite common from experiencers, you're certainly not alone," they wrote.
A third person wrote: "It's just your fight or flight response to something unknown. Nothing wrong with that OP. I had the same experience but with something else. It's just an experience that will probably never happen again. Process it, give it a place and go on."
