The infographic below shows the rankings of the US states from least to most foreclosures. The states with the fewest foreclosures are considered the best, while those with the highest number of foreclosures are categorized as the worst. So the higher your score, the worse position you’re in.

Vermont ⛰️ won the trophy for the “State With the Least Number of Foreclosures” category. Only two counties in Vermont saw foreclosures! Rounding out the top five were South Dakota, Mississippi, West Virginia and Montana. But where there's a top 🔝, there must be a bottom ⏬!

The state that won the worst trophy, the “State with the Most Number of Foreclosures”, is Nevada 🎰. Ranked 32nd in population, it saw one in every 2,163 homes going into foreclosure. Filling in the bottom of the barrel🪵 were New Jersey, Delaware, South Carolina and Maryland.
