Last call for holiday pies from Gold Star Bakery

(Colorado Springs, CO) The holiday season is sweeter with pie, and some of the best pie in Colorado Springs can be found at Gold Star Bakery.

The bakery, which opened this fall, is located in Ivywild School (1604 S. Cascade Avenue). The dessert shop is new to the neighborhood, but the homemade artisan pies by Heather Briggs and her family have been a community staple since 2017. The family-operated pie business started as a food truck called Gold Star Pies.

The dessert truck quickly became a local favorite, receiving national attention in 2022 when it was featured on Good Morning America as one of the "Sweetest Spots in America."

In 2023, the Blue Star Group purchased Gold Star Pies and opened a permanent location at Ivywild School, changing the name to Gold Star Bakery.

The delicious pies have a new home with the same great taste, and there is still time to order whole pies for Christmas.

The holiday pie menu is:

• Wild Blueberry

For Christmas pies, orders must be placed by December 19th. All holiday pies are available gluten-free.
