Super Bowl champion "sick of average white guys commenting on football," proposes racial Pro Bowl

Super Bowl champion running back Rashard Mendenhall is displeased with the crop of NFL analysts, specifically "average white guys" that he believes are unworthy of their positions.

Mendenhall did not take direct aim at anyone in particular, but his recent X (Twitter) post made it clear that he has had enough of white NFL analysts criticizing players. His post also included a call to action: a racially-driven Pro Bowl game.

"I’m sick of average white guys commenting on football," he wrote. "Y’all not even good at football. Can we please replace the Pro Bowl with an All-Black vs. All-White bowl so these cats can stop trying to teach me who’s good at football. I’m better than your (sic) goat."

Former Houston Texans star JJ Watt joked about how a hypothetical "All-Black vs. All-White bowl" would play out.

"We’d get cooked at corner, not gonna lie," Watt wrote. "Nobody on our squad is covering Tyreek (Hill)."

Before his racial Pro Bowl idea suggestion, Mendenhall also took to X (Twitter) to discuss the current state of the Steelers, whom he played four of his five pro seasons with.

"I don’t understand how you can talk about Tomlin’s playoff record, without acknowledging that Kenny Pickett has only played one year," he added. "Who was the QB for all those playoff loses?!! Literally all of them. Make up your minds. How you arbitrarily separate Mike & Ben in de (sic) W/L column?"

Mendenhall, 36, was a standout player at Illinois before being selected in the first round by the Steelers in 2008.

He amassed over 4,000 rushing yards in his career and won the Super Bowl with the Steelers during his rookie season.
