Update on Fatal Crash near Highway 75 and Fairview Road

On Thursday, December 21, 2023, at approximately 7:54 p.m., Bellevue officers responded to the area of Northbound Highway 75 and Fairview Road, regarding a personal injury accident, involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, officers located a 2023 Nissan Sentra and a 2016 Ford Escape, both of which were off the roadway.

Both occupants from the Nissan Sentra were ejected from the vehicle. Once officers located the ejected occupants, life-saving measures were attempted on one of the individuals. Both ejected occupants were later transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center by medical personnel, where one occupant succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The deceased occupant has been identified as twenty-seven (27) year old, Lenzea Stark, of Plattsmouth. The other occupant, who is a thirty-two (32) year old female was determined to be in critical condition. The driver of the Ford Escape is a forty-eight (48) year old male, who did not sustain any injuries from the accident.

The Bellevue Police Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene and is still conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident. No other information will be released at this time, as this is still an ongoing investigation.
