The calamity involved a pickup truck helmed by a 17-year-old driver that recklessly veered into oncoming traffic, resulting in a catastrophic head-on collision with a 2021 Honda Odyssey carrying seven occupants.

The collision, which occurred around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, claimed the lives of six individuals, leaving a grim aftermath and a trail of heartbreak in its wake. Among the deceased were two children, aged 10 and 9, adding a poignant layer of sorrow to the already distressing incident.

The details provided by the department painted a distressing picture of events—the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by the young teenager, ventured into the northbound lane in a section marked as a "no passing" zone. Heartbreakingly, these individuals were members of an interconnected family, their lives intertwined in a shared bond of kinship and love.
