Air Force Sergeant Points Gun at Teenager in Road Rage Incident, Blames PTSD

    2023-12-29
    • Charles Bass, a 40-year-old US Air Force sergeant, has been accused of pointing a gun at 19-year-old Shi'Anna Bamba during a road rage incident in Arizona.
    • Bass was arrested on December 15, facing charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
    • The altercation was recorded by Bamba, capturing Bass allegedly asking her if she wanted to die.

In a harrowing road rage incident, US Air Force sergeant Charles Bass, 40, has been accused of threatening Shi'Anna Bamba, a 19-year-old woman, with a firearm.

The incident, which occurred in Arizona, was captured in a chilling video recorded by Bamba. In the footage, Bass is seen raising a gun towards Bamba and purportedly asking, "Do you want to f****** die?"

Bamba recounted the encounter, stating that it happened after she was allegedly accused of cutting off a truck, a claim she denies. She began recording out of fear when they stopped next to each other at a traffic light, capturing Bass pointing the gun at her.

Bamba, visibly shaken by the experience, expressed her disbelief at the intensity of the threat over a road rage incident. Bass was eventually arrested by the Surprise Police Department, US Marshals, and the Air Force. Following his arrest, Bass admitted to the confrontation but attributed his reaction to PTSD and hypervigilance issues.

The US Air Force has acknowledged the incident is under investigation but has not provided further comments. The case highlights the concerning issue of road rage and its potential escalation to life-threatening situations.

Leave him be. Cops point guns at everybody over nothing because they are fearful. Tell me how this is different for our veteran. Is it police qualified immunity? If so veterans deserve the same thing.
