After the migrant issues growing in sanctuary cities of New York City, Denver, and Chicago, Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas shared his thoughts in a recent interview. Mayorkas placed all the blame on Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

In a Wednesday interview on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Mayorkas said Governor Abbott showed signs of a failing government.

Mayorkas said according to The Messenger:

"We have taken action on the border and we've taken action with respect to the challenges that cities across the country are facing. Let me identify one fundamental problem here.”
“And that is the fact that we have one governor in the state of Texas who is refusing to cooperate with other — other governors and other local officials, and coordinate efforts to address a challenge that our country, which this country should stand united to address, that our country is facing. And it's a remarkable failure of governance to refuse to cooperate with one's fellow local and state officials."

While saying the White House was not the problem, Mayorkas said he hoped Congress took more action.

Mayorkas said in the interview according to Daily Mail:

“We do hope that Congress passes that critically needed funding measure. We have taken action on the border and we've taken action with respect to the challenges that cities across the country are facing.”

Governor Abbott responded to Mayokras and his allegations and said it was on President Joe Biden according to Beibert.

“The REAL reason illegal immigration records are being set is because Biden refuses to enforce immigration laws.”

Since Governor Abbott began busing migrants he has sent close to 200,000 migrants to sanctuary cities of Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, and Los Angeles according to a press release.

The migrant crossing the southern border doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

How do you think Mayorkas is doing as Homeland Security Secretary?
