A small city in Wisconsin is asking President Joe Biden for assistance as they are overwhelmed by migrants. In early 2022, migrants began arrived to the city of Whitewater, Wisconsin which has a population of about 15,000 people.

In the past year, over 300,000 migrants crossed the southern border according to CBS News. The majority of migrants have crossed the border of Texas where Governor Greg Abbott has tried to secure the border as he builds the wall along the border with Mexico. Recently Texas bussed over 100,000 migrants to the sanctuary cities of Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, and Los Angeles.

On December 28, Police Chief Dan Meyer and City Manager John Weidl wrote a letter addressed to the White House and President Joe Biden according to CBS 58. The letter mentioned about 800 to 1,000 migrants from Nicaragua and Venezuela have settled in Whitewater which has strained the city.

This is similar to what happened in Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, Denver, and El Paso as migrants strained city resources.

Representative Bryan Steil (R-Wisconsin) represents Whitewater in Congress gave an interview on Thursday, January 10.

Steil said in an interview according to CBS 58:

"There's a couple of things that we need to do. One, you gotta clean up the mess. But first and foremost, you gotta turn off the spigot. And you turn off the spigot by actually putting in place border security policies that allow us to secure the border."

The Congressman recently visited the Texas border with other members of Congress where Speaker of the House Mike Johnson gave President Biden an ultimatum on supporting a spending bill for Israel and Ukraine. Johnson said he needed to support the southern border first.

Johnson said according to The Texas Tribune:

“If President Biden wants a supplemental spending bill focused on national security, it better begin by defending America's national security. It begins right here on our southern border.”

liberals asked for it and now they expect us to fork over our tax dollars to bail them out. I left the democratic party because they have become sick and delusional.
