Emma Stone Lists Her Charming L.A. Home for $4 Million

    2024-01-15

Emma Stone is leaving her Spanish-style home in Los Angeles. She just won a Golden Globe for her role in Yorgos Lanthimos's film Poor Things. The actress has put the charming two-story home in the Comstock Hills neighborhood of Westwood on the market for $3.995 million.

The first news source to report on the story said that Stone, who owns a home in Austin, Texas, and an apartment in New York City, had been using the house as a "pied-à-terre" when she was in Los Angeles. Last year, she sold a mid-century home in Malibu for about $4.4 million.

Stone's private, gated, and vaulted 1926 Westwood home has a grassy front yard and vaulted, double-height ceilings in the kitchen. It was just put for sale. The actress just finished remodeling the four-bedroom, 3,276-square-foot home. It now has a new guest house with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom suite with laundry. It says on the ad that the guest house could be used as a home office. According to public records, Stone paid $2.3 million for the house in 2019.

A listing agent from Sotheby's International Realty – Beverly Hills Brokerage told the WSJ that Stone had added on to the back of the house and made the kitchen bigger while keeping original features like the living room's beamed ceilings and the tiled patio. "The sub-$5 million category in L.A., in in-demand locations, is one of the more brisk markets," Lavey said. He thinks the house will sell quickly.

Stone, who is also in the Showtime drama The Curse, is done shooting Lanthimos' next movie, Kinds of Kindness, and will likely play the same Disney villain in Cruella 2, which is currently being made.
