Narcotics Bust: Stolen Firearm, Heroin, and Arrests in Rocky Mount, NC

Rocky Mount, North Carolina:
On January 11, 2024, The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit did a search warrant on 408 Marigold St., Rocky Mount, NC.
The information shared between the Nash County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Edgecombe's Narcotics Unit led up to hours of surveillance on the residence.
A search warrant was executed after reasonable suspicion to prompt probable cause. Edgecombe County Special Response Team and Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.
Before the search, a traffic stop was conducted on an individual with a rife-style pistol leaving the residence. The gun was seized for further investigation.
The execution of the search warrant revealed several individuals were inside the residence including, Joshua Mabry, Lakeevis Grant, Zakiy Mclain, Jaylen Hatfield, and Mia Ward. During the investigation, Heroin packaged for sale, with numerous Heroin baggies, stamps, rubber bands, tape, packaging materials, scales, and U.S. currency.
They also located inside the home, four firearms. One of which was reported stolen out of Tarboro, NC. A Glock 45 was located, which was outfitted with a Glock switch, enabling it to fire multple rounds with one single trigger pull.

Further investigation and more charges are pending at this time.
Josh Mabry was arrested on possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of weapon on mass destruction, PWIMSD heroin, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and was given an unsecured bond of $50,000 and an ankle monitor upon release.
Lakeevis Grant was arrested on possession of a firearm by felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession with a weapon of mass destruction, PWIMSD Heroin, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and was given a secured Bond of $38,000.
Jaylen Hatfield was arrested on possession of firearm by felon, possession of stolen firearm, possession of weapon of mass destruction, PWIMSD Heroin, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and was given a secured Bond of $20,000.
Zikiy Mclain was arrested on possession of stolen firearm, possession with weapon of mass destruction, PWIMSD Heroin, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and was given an unsecured Bond of $20,000.
