Louisiana never stops celebrating! Now that the Christmas decorations have been put away, it's time to bring out the Mardi Gras masks.

These Mardi Gras parades roll this weekend.

Les Fous du Carnaval - New Orleans - January 19

    Marigny and French Quarter

The 100-person Les Fous du Carnaval parade will begin at 8:00 PM at the intersection of Chartres and Frenchmen Streets, travel to Royal Street, turn left, and then take another left onto St. Philip Street. It will turn right onto Decatur Street and then end at Jackson Square.

This year's theme: "Big Clown Energy."

Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus - New Orleans - January 20

    Marigny/French Quarter

On Saturday, at 7:00 PM, the nerd-friendly, science-fiction-oriented, Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus foot parade will begin at the corner of St. Claude and Franklin, proceed down the river side of St. Claude, turn left at Elysian Fields, right on Decatur, and continue on to the end at North Peters and Conti.

This year's theme: "Nothing to See Here."

So the article has a picture of Chewbacca and in the caption it says that it’s a Mardi Gras costume. The picture was obviously taken at Disney. You can see the Falcon and the crowd in the background. What gives?
