They picked ten winners from all over the state to be Riley Children's Hospital champions. One of them lives in our area.

He is on his own health journey, but he makes it a point to help other kids on theirs too. He asked his friends to wear red and give Riley money on Giving Tuesday. He wants to be an audiologist when he grows up.

Amir Agemy, 2024 Riley Champion, says, "Yeah, so I have hearing loss in both ears, and I kind of want to help kids go through what I went through." There was a Riley Children's Foundation program called Riley Champions that began 15 years ago.

According to Susan Miles Riley Children's Foundation Kids Caring & Sharing Program, "Well, Amir's name showed up in a book of Riley patients who had been nominated for consideration as a Riley champion." The book contained approximately ninety nominations, from which we selected ten based on a variety of criteria.

However, a Riley champion is a Riley patient who has overcome where they are overcoming their medical challenges and are giving back to their community in some way.

He was honored at Amir's middle school for being chosen as a champion, and he was presented with a banner for his school as a token of their appreciation.

It has been reported by the principal, the school nurse, and the teachers that Amir is constantly looking for ways to assist.

Despite the fact that he is undergoing medical treatment, Amir is dedicated to assisting other people. In order to help other children at Riley, he is organizing a fundraising event.
