Investigation Reveals Homicide: Arrest Made

Pitt County, North Carolina:

A press release on January 18, 2024, released by the Pitt County Sheriff's Office states the following:

At 6:04 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office took a missing person report for one Zytorious Jahod Ruffin, 23-year-old of Farmville, North Carolina. They immediately initiated an investigation into his whereabouts.

During the investigation the deputies were able to locate Ruffin, however he was deceased. Evidence that was gathered during the investigation had proven to detectives that Ruffin was a victim of homicide.

Detectives presented their evidence to the Magistrate who issued a warrant for one 26-year-old, Raekwon Terrell Blount, of Farmville, North Carolina with accessory after the fact to murder.

Blount was arrested by Pitt County Detectives on January 18, 2024. He has been booked into the Pitt County Detention Center where he is being held with no bond.
