• Spend some time at the feet of Jesus

The people of the East are a demonstrative people. In their devotions, they pay more attention to posture than we do. Have you ever noticed how often someone kneels in front of Jesus? How often someone is “at the feet of Jesus?”

At the feet of Jesus is where I want to be. Those feet stepped into the Jordan when Jesus was baptized. Later, they would walk on the water. They stood on the mount preaching and walked a thousand miles helping and ran to the hurting. They kicked over the tables of the moneychangers and didn’t run when His accusers approached. They walked up the hill to Golgotha and were nailed to the cross. Think of the privilege we have to sit at the feet of Jesus, that is where I want to be.

At the feet of Jesus, we will find a place of pardon like the woman at his feet in Luke chapter 7. At the feet of Jesus is a place of healing as we read in Matthew 15:30. At the feet of Jesus is a place of learning, it is a place of prayer and a place of thanksgiving.

At the feet of Jesus, we find a place of rest. In Luke chapter 8, we read of a man whose mind had been afflicted by demons, he had no rest. Yet, at the feet of Jesus he found rest and was in his right mind.

Perhaps we need to spend some time at the feet of Jesus!
