Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr., which QB do pro scouts like better?

"If the draft were held tomorrow," NFL analyst Charles Davis told The Joe Rose Show, the order of quarterbacks to come off the board "would be Caleb Williams one, two would be Drake May, and three would be Jayden Daniels."

Those three might come off the board in order at the beginning as Chicago, Washington, and New England have the first three picks and are perceived as quarterback-needy.

After the top three quarterbacks available in the 2024 NFL Draft, where do Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. stand? Davis joined WQAM Thursday from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama and shared his insight.

"I would say that coming into this week, Bo Nix, on most people's boards, is ahead of Michael Penix," Davis told Joe. "But that doesn't mean this whole thing is over."

Davis said players shouldn't be dinged for a week at an All-Star game. You can elevate, but don't ding anyone. He suggests tape is a much better indicator of future value.

The NFL on CBS analyst and former defensive back expanded on both Nix and Penix.

"Bo Nix is more highly regarded by pro scouts right now," he said, and then spoke highly of Penix.

"Penix, the way he throws the ball, there's an ease to everything that he does that in person is even more impressive than what you've seen on television," Davis explained.

Where will these quarterbacks be taken in the draft? Davis says both Nix and Penix are being evaluated as first-round quarterbacks.
