Dozens of Free Seminars at the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival

    2024-02-06

It’s fitting that the 5 day Northwest Flower & Garden Festival starts on Valentine’s Day. It is, after all, a huge love letter to all things gardening. The best gardeners, landscape designers and outdoor experts will be on hand to share their knowledge and help you turn your outdoor spaces into the spaces of your dreams.

This includes city dwellers. Many displays and demonstrations focus on container gardening. And if you’ve always wanted a Parisian balcony, you’ll learn how to create one. Dozens of free seminars on a wide variety of topics are packed into all 5 days. Learn to grow hydrangeas, bamboo, dahlias, agave, orchids, and Japanese maples. Vegetables, composting, worm farming, flower bouquets, herbs, and bees are just some of the things covered. Have you always dreamed of a fantasy woodland garden? There’s a seminar for you.

The show takes place from Wednesday, February 14 through Sunday, February 18., at the Seattle Convention Center. Hours are 9 am to 8 pm daily, except Sunday when the show closes at 6 pm. Tickets are $22 for adults. A 2-day pass is $40. You can go in and out of the show and there are plenty of food options in the center and surrounding area. Don’t miss wandering through the display gardens.
