PROVO, UT ( FOX 44 ) — The up and down run through the Big 12 Conference continued on Wednesday night for the 18th-ranked Baylor Women’s Basketball team, as the Bears suffered a road defeat against BYU.

Nicki Collen’s team scored the first basket of the game to take an immediate lead, but trailed for the rest of the contest, as the Cougars got out in front and never looked back on the way to a nearly wire-to-wire win.

Offensively, the Bears were never able to find much rhythm against BYU, as they shot just 34.8% from the field, 32.1% from three-point range and 68.8% from the free throw line.

Just two Baylor players finished in double figures as well, led by Darianna Littlepage-Buggs and her 17 points, while Yaya Felder added 15.

The Bears will now return home in search of a signature win as they will host 22nd-ranked West Virginia on Saturday, December 10th at 2:00 pm.
