Williamsport, Pa. — A shoplifter used his credit card to buy items from the grocery store before stashing other stolen goods in his bag and leaving, police say.

Michael Justin Borlik, 43, was spotted on surveillance video at Wegmans, 201 William St., on Jan. 26 around 7 p.m. Borlik was seen walking around and selecting merchandise — some of which he was concealing in a reusable bag, according to Officer Tanner Troutman of the Williamsport Bureau of Police.

Borlik allegedly paid for some items with his credit card, but left without paying for others, including a L'Oreal plumping serum, valued at $27, a Valentine's Day card worth $5, energy drink and MiO drops totaling $22, and a bottle of champagne worth $140.

In total, he's accused of stealing $194 in merchandise. Borlik was charged with retail theft.

I do not approve theft, but will scrutinize someone who steals 4 survival. This dumbass steals a Valentine's card, champagne, hair stuff & flavor water drops like WTF is wrong with him. If I had 2, I would steal food 2 feed my kids, but there is NO excuse 4 this fool.
