BELOIT — Amare Hereford and Brock Hodges put on a shooting clinic in the first half Tuesday night at the Barkin Arena, combining for 29 of Beloit Memorial’s 52 points.

The Purple Knights went on to post a 90-49 rout of visiting Kenosha Tremper.

Hereford led Beloit with 21 points while Hodges finished with 19. Diego Perez also reached double figures with 13 and both Shaun JJ Martin and Jeramiyah McAllister had nine. Ten different Knights in all scored in the non-conference contest.

With the win, Beloit improved to 16-4 overall. The Knights, fourth in the Southern Lakes Conference at 8-3, host Badger on Friday night.

Tremper, 2-11 in the Southeast Conference, dipped to 5-17 overall. The Trojans were led by Christian Davison with 12 points.

    • BRODHEAD 79, CLINTON 59: The Cardinals’ Cullen Walker and the Cougars’ Reagan Flickinger offset each other as both netted 23 points Tuesday night in Rock Valley Conference Rock Division action in Clinton.

The Cardinals (10-11, 6-6 RVC) led 37-25 at the half as Walker scored 15 points and they tacked on 42 in the second half for the 20-point win. It could easily have been worse. Brodhead converted just 3-of-14 free throws.

In addition to Walker’s 23 points, the Cardinals got 14 from Brody Riese and 10 from Sam Searles. They hit eight 3-pointers, half of those by Walker.

Other than Flickinger, only one other Cougar reached double figures in scoring. Isaac Krummel had 10 points, although Jimmy Arnold and Gio Perez had nine apiece.

While Flickinger was 7-of-9 at the free-throw line, as a team Clinton (6-15, 3-9) was just 7-of-15.

    • EDGERTON 85, BIG FOOT 34: The Chiefs couldn’t find enough shooters to combat an explosive Crimson Tide offense that surged to a big home win in Rock Valley Rock Division action on Tuesday night.

Edgerton (16-5, 11-1) finished with 17 three-pointers with Preston Schaffner accounting for four of them and both Vinny Fox and Olin Zellmer adding three of their own.

Big Foot (10-11, 5-7), which is without leading scorer Hudson Torrez for the rest of the season due to injury, fell behind 44-20 by halftime.

Dakota Nordmeyer scored a team-high 11 points for the Chiefs while Edgerton was paced by Zellmer’s 15.

    • PARKVIEW 72, WILLIAMS BAY 56: The Vikings jumped out to the early lead and never relinquished it in Orfordville.

Sophomores Aiden Crane and Oliver Friedrich combined for 47 points for Parkview. Crane had 25 points and Friedrich was right behind with 22.

The Vikings (5-15) led 35-20 at halftime and put up 37 points in the second half.

Diego Valadez led Williams Bay (4-18) with 21 points. The visitors were just 16-of-35 at the free-throw line.

    • SOUTH BELOIT 50, NORTH BOONE 35: The SoBos ensured they didn’t pull their foot off the gas from winning the Northeastern Athletic Conference Tournament with a nice win over the visiting Vikings on Tuesday night.

Ross Robertson, who became the program’s all-time scorer earlier this month, scored 27 points to put his career total over the 2,000 mark. TreyMon Payton-Ruff added 11 points while Syncere Fane grabbed four boards and dished out six assists in addition to his five points.

The SoBos (22-6) will cap off the regular season at home against Lena-Winslow on Thursday while the Vikings (8-20) begin postseason play on Monday against Winnebago.
