A northern state governor wants to send the National Guard to Texas. The number of states supporting Texas continues to grow.

On February 13, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu wrote a letter to the state committee asking for funding to send the National Guard to Texas. According to the New Hampshire Bulletin, Governor Sununu was one of 14 governors who visited Eagle Pass as Texas Governor Greg Abbott shared his border plan.

Just this week, several governors said they were sending their National Guard to Texas which includes Indiana, Georgia, and Montana.

Last May, Governor Abbott requested support from State Governors to assist him in Operation Lone Star according to this press release.

Governor Sununu said according to a press release:

“Simply stated, in the absence of a willingness at the federal level to secure our border, states (both individually and collectively) must undertake efforts to protect the safety of their citizens.”

The office of Governor Sununu said he asked for $850,000 to send up to 15 National Guard members to Texas as mentioned by WCVB. The National Guardsmen would be deployed to Texas for up to 90 days.

Not everyone in New Hampshire agrees with the request.

Representative Mary Jane Wallner, D-Concord, Ranking Member on the House Finance Committee and member of the Fiscal Committee, said the request was “entirely inappropriate” according to Indepthnh.

    Wallner added:

“If Governor Sununu really wants to address the southern border, he should encourage Speaker Johnson and his Republican colleagues in the U.S. Congress to support the bipartisan bill that was just sent to them by the U.S. Senate. Americans want solutions — not political stunts.”

What do you think about New Hampshire's support?

There is no crisis in Texas otherwise the republicans would’ve jumped on that bill to start fixing the border. They decided it wasn’t important enough right now.

Why would Biden tell the world to surge the border with no legislation to control the influx other than hard working Americans tax dollars paying for it? This election vote for the survival of America.
