Mardi Gras may be over, but there are still a couple of parades happening this weekend.

Krewe du Pooch Mardi Gras Parade - Mandeville - February 17

A walking parade and costume contest for canines and their humans, the Krewe du Pooch Mardi Gras Parade begins at 12:00 PM at the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Marigny Avenue. A post-parade party begins at 4:30 PM and features dog adoptions, music, vendors, food, and drinks.

This year's theme: Puppy Love

Mystic Krewe of Mardi Paws Mardi Gras Parade - Covington - February 18

Parade-goers must be in costume for the Mystic Krewe of Mardi Paws Mardi Gras parade which begins at 2:00 PM in Downtown Covington. The parade lines up on N. Columbia near the Covington Police Department and ends near the Covington Trailhead on New Hampshire. A Parade Extravaganza at the Trailhead will offer music, food, and fun from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
