This just shows the ogdensburg chief of police has a weak plan. If someone goes into a high school and starts the unthinkable. The only people who are really going help during this situation would be the people who are already there in the building. Let's be real here. By the time the police had the CERT Team contacted and arrive there who knows what kind of damage could already have happened. I don't care if you're the first cop to show up and who's ever is in the building has a gatlin gun. It is your job to immediately go in there and try to protect the children and all costs with your own life. Welcome to swearing in oaks to the constitution and sometimes you gotta earn that pay. I hope no officer and Saint Lawrence county or New York State ever has to go through this. The fact of the matter is there needs to be an immediate response to something like this. There is no time to wait.

I find it funny the article says that New York State has closed 44 prisons due to declining inmate population, which maybe true, but if it wasn’t for the new state laws of no cash bail or not prosecuting criminals then there would be no reason to close them
