Friends of Cape Meares Lighthouse scholarship

The Friends of Cape Meares Lighthouse are looking for two local students enrolled at Tillamook Bay Community College or in university to receive $2500 in tuition scholarship assistance.

The program has awarded scholarships for more than a decade and three of the group’s board members will select awardees from amongst the applicants. Preference will be given to students attending state public universities, but all candidates with a high school diploma or GED who are enrolled in college and residents of Tillamook County will be considered.

Winners and backups will be notified in May, and the scholarship funds will be sent directly to the institution at which the student is enrolled for tuition costs for the 2024-2025 school year.

Applications are due by April 25, and can be found on the group’s website at friendsofcapemeareslighthouse.com.
