"Iconic," "Cult Favorite," Burger Chain Is Opening A Second Florida Store With More On The Way

Florida has no shortage of hamburger chains for Floridians who'd like their burger fix. One can choose from chains like Florida-based Burger Fi, Five Guys, or Burger 21.

Or, one can choose mom-and-pop shops that are probably equally popular like Vice Burger in Miami Beach and Charm City Burger in Deerfield Beach, to name a couple of options.

However, while chains and independently owned burger joints are plentiful in Florida, what isn't as plentiful is the extremely popular California-based chains such as In-N-Out Burger and Jack In The Box.

Florida is getting more of these options in the coming months, however. For example, Jack in the Box will reportedly open stores in Orlando.

And, Florida has just officially gotten the second location of the "Last Great Hamburger Stand" in a specific part of Florida and there are reportedly more on the way.

About Fatburger: In a press release from FAT brands, the company called itself "iconic." WTSP has called the burger joint a "cult favorite." However, the chain had humble beginnings. It began as a three-stoll hamburger stand in 1947. Lovie Yancy worked 18-hour days to make Fatburger a popular place for celebrities.

Because Fatburger hasn't changed all that much, it is called "The Last Great Hamburger Stand."

Fatburgers are made with "the freshest quality ingredients" and handcrafted and milkshakes are hand scooped.

Florida Feedback: In the summer of 2023, Fatburger came to central Florida. Patrons give that restaurant 3.6 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Many reviewers from out west were very happy to have a Fatburger in Florida. Some took off stars because they felt the food was a bit pricey.

A reviewer named Joe wrote:

"Fatburger is a legendary burger place...if you are from California, you know! (The) first location and only location in Florida. Just had it, and it’s as good as the ones in Cali. Jolene took our order and gave us our delicious burgers through the drive-through. She was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Overall, this experience was amazing. If you haven’t tried Fatburger, go get one!!! Deliciouso. 10/10!!"

New Store And Florida Expansion: On February 22, 2024, a new store will be opening in Celebration, which will be Florida's second Fatburger, after the one mentioned above in Riverview.

If you're thinking that two Florida stores aren't enough, know that more are reportedly on the way. According to That's So Tampa reporting in the summer of 2023, the Tampa area is expected to get four Fatburger stores, while the Orlando area will reportedly be getting ten stores.
