Spaghetti Feed to benefit Cat Rescue and Adoption Center

    2024-02-19

The Community Cat Rescue and Adoption Center of Barron County will hold a Spaghetti Feed on Saturday (Feb. 24) from 4-7 p.m. at the Cameron Senior Center, 512 W. Main St. There will be a freewill donation for dinner, raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, and a bake sale. All proceeds go toward paying vet bills and maintenance of the center at 23 E. Bracklin Ave., Rice Lake.

The cat center is staffed entirely by volunteers and depends on donations to keep the doors open. In the past four years more than 1,200 feral and abandoned cats have been adopted out, all spayed or neutered, and up to date on their vaccinations. There is a TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return) program also used to reduce the cat population.
