PROVO, UT ( FOX 44 ) — The 11th-ranked Baylor Basketball team’s winning ways came to an end on Tuesday night in Utah, as the Bears saw an early lead slip away in a loss to No. 25 BYU.

Scott Drew and company got off to a great start out of the gates, as Baylor took an early 8-0 lead from the opening tip. The Bears held that lead until the 5:40 mark in the first half, when Dallin Hall gave the Cougars a lead that they would hold on to for a large majority of the game.

The story of the game was BYU’s dominance over the Bears in two areas. One was three-point shooting, where the Cougars hit 14 threes as compared to just five for Baylor. The other was offensive rebounding, as BYU finished with a 16-7 advantage.

On the offensive side of the ball, every Baylor player that stepped onto the floor scored, with three Bears finishing in double figures, led by Jalen Bridges and his 15 points.

Next up for Baylor is a return home to the Foster Pavilion, as the Bears will host former guard LJ Cryer and the Houston Cougars on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00 am.
