Merry Market brings Spring shopping to Gonzales

Join Merry Market for their 1st annual Spring Market on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th at Lamar Dixon in Gonzales. The annual event usually takes place in the fall but this year there will be two events, a spring and fall market. Next month's market will feature over 265 booths plus VIP shopping with their vendor booths sold out for the frst time in Merry Market's history. Last year's event in November had over 10,000 visitors attend during the 2-day event.

Merry Market was established in 2020 by founder Anne Ogea. We asked Anne about her decision to hold a spring event this year and what will set it apart from the fall show.

TH: Merry Market is usually held in the fall in November, so what made you decide to also have a spring event this year?

AO: Vendors and shoppers alike have been asking us to host a spring market. We found a great date and decided to "geaux" for it. We are completely "sold out " of all 265 vendor booths!

TH: What are some things that will be different about this spring event than the one held in the fall?

AO: A lot will be the same, such as VIP shopping on Saturday morning from 8 am-11 am, $10 admission for adults and kids under 10 are free, Free parking, strollers are welcome, and Kidz zone. Some new additions to the spring market will be free pictures with the Easter Bunny and a petting zoo on Saturday. The first 500 shoppers through the door each day will also receive a recyclable Merry Market shopping bag.

Ogea said of what makes Merry Market so unique, "Merry Market gives back. We are excited to announce that a portion of your admissions will be donated to the Sparrow Foundation. In 2023, Merry Market was able to donate $10,000 to The Sparrow Foundation. Come out March 9th and 10th and shop for a cause."
