    AC/DC is going gold for 50th anniversary with special vinyl reissue

    Continuing their 50th anniversary celebration, AC/DC will reissue a new batch of their classic albums on gold vinyl.

    As part of the “AC/DC 50” collection, set to arrive March 15, the reissue will include the band’s first nine LPs, High Voltage (1975), Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap (1976) , Powerage (1978) Highway To Hell (1979) , Back in Black (1980), For Those About to Rock (1981), Who Made Who (1986), The Razor’s Edge (1990), and the 2-LP Live (1992).

    The 9 gold vinyl variants are available to purchase individually for $26.97 each or as a bundle for $239.97 exclusively at Walmart in the US. Each vinyl comes with an album-specific 12-inch print featuring the new “AC/DC 50” artwork that’s suitable for framing.

    Also, new colored pressings of Highway to Hell (orange blend) and Back In Black (black/white blend) are available to pre-order at $34.98 on AC/DC ’s official site store .

    As previously reported, AC/DC surprised fans with announcing their plans to hit the road for the first time in eight years. Celebrating their five decades together, singer Brian Johnson , guitarist Angus Young , rhythm guitarist Stevie Young , drummer Matt Laug will come together with Chris Chaney ( Jane’s Addiction ) replacing longtime bassist Cliff Williams for a 24-date trek across the UK and Europe slated to kick off May 17.
