New Sports Complex Coming to Baton Rouge

Ochsner Baton Rouge and Elite Training Academy, a locally-owned sports training center, have partnered to create a new comprehensive sports performance and care center. Located on Burbank Drive across from the soon-to-be-opened Surge Entertainment by Drew Brees, near the corner of Lee Drive, the super location will include a 60-yard indoor field, a 2,800-square foot weight room, and two full-size outdoor turf sports fields.

Combining the latest advancements in sports medicine, training, sports wellness, injury treatment and prevention, and mental training, the complex will offer:

• Orthopedic and sports medicine care from Ochsner's fellowship-trained physicians and physical therapists
• Recovery services such as cryotherapy, acupuncture, and massage therapy
• Therapy treatments for injuries
• State-of-the-art equipment for biomechanics evaluations
• Sports nutrition support
• Mental performance health coaching
• Speed and strength training
• Sports performance training

Originally set to open in early 2023, but delayed when a portion of the building collapsed during construction, the opening date of the new facility was pushed back to early 2024. This will be the first sports performance training center in the Baton Rouge region.
