Hamburger Joint Backed By One Of The NFL's "Best Quarterbacks" Is Coming To Multiple Florida Cities

    2024-02-26

While cardiologists may disagree, some people enjoy having a delicious, juicy hamburger now and again.

After all, it's arguably a somewhat balanced meal, at least in terms of ingredients. You have your protein, your carbs, and your vegetables. And you can usually find a burger for a bargain price.

Floridians in search of a burger don't need to look too far. You can go the independent route with Florida restaurants like La Birra Bar in Miami or The Bier Boutique in St. Petersburg.

Or, if you want something quite predictable, you can go with a chain like Burger Fi or even Checkers.

However, there is going to be a new hamburger game in Florida. And it is backed by a former NFL quarterback that some consider one of the game's best.

About Smalls Sliders: This relatively new company has a very simple and straightforward mission - "to serve cheeseburger sliders better than anyone else." To accomplish that, they use only fresh, "high-quality" ingredients.

If you are a Floridian and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, you may cringe a bit when I mention Drew Brees because he played in some games that the Bucs may want to forget. But he is an investor in Smalls Sliders and has been called "one of the five best quarterbacks in NFL history" in an article by Bleacher Report.

Smalls isn't in Florida yet (although it is coming) but reviewers in Louisiana give it high marks, with it earning 4.3 out of 5 stars on Google reviews.

    A reviewer named Shaun wrote:

"Delicious! Drive-thru pace was fine. An employee walked out to order take in person to move things (more quickly.) Loved the flavors, prices are fair and portion sizes are fair also - maybe a few more fries would be nice."

Smalls Is Coming To Multiple Florida Locations: According to the company's website, locations are soon expected in Ocala, Panama City, and Pensacola.

According to QSR, franchisee Matt Gallagher expects to bring four "cans" (which is the nickname for stores) to Florida. In a statement, he said in part:

"...I wanted to be involved with Smalls Sliders in its infancy stages and be a part of its evolution, so it’s an honor to bring the brand to Florida.”

According to WFLA, franchise Purple Square Management plans to bring a store to Tampa, and is considering locations in St Petersburg, Clearwater, Lakeland, Spring Hill, Sarasota, Cape Coral, and Naples.

The author is not affiliated with Smalls Sliders or any other restaurants.

Not that great I give it one star out of five greasy, no taste and not worth the price trying to be like Castle burger, but they have no comparison
