    Bluegrass series continues

    ‘Rebirth’ concerts planned

    COSMIC Symphony will present the concert “Rebirth” by William F. Esterling III and featuring Young Artists Competition winners Steven Toft and Esther Bonney with the music of Ludwig van Beethoven. A free concert will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at the Dodge Performing Arts Center at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.     Join the ‘Weed Warriors’ Saturday

    Join Patuxent Tidewater Land Trust volunteers to remove invasive vines and plants from Myrtle Point Park in California this Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. This will be the last outing of “Weed Warriors” at the park this season as the group only work in winter months to avoid ticks insects of warmer weather.     Celebrate the works of Blumberg

    Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center will hold a reception for its Swirl and Swoosh: Celebrating the Work of Mary Blumberg exhibit 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at 13470 Dowell Road in Solomons. Blumberg, who taught art at Annmarie Gardens, died in 2019 at the age of 83 after a short battle with ALS. The exhibit runs through March 30. Go to www.annmariegarden.org.

    Forest exhibit opens

    The Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation is accepting applications for the 2024 Academic and Seibel Scholarships through March 25.     Hospice of the Chesapeake will host its annual golf tournament 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at The Cannon Club in Lothian.
