Ricki Lake poses in red swimsuit after weight loss: 'This is 55'

Ricki Lake brought back a closet classic.

The television host and actor shared a pair of images on her Instagram including one modeling a red one-piece swimsuit, which she originally wore in 2007 for an US Weekly magazine cover (that shot leads the post).

Lake paired the swimwear with high black pumps in the mirror selfie she shared.

"I held on to this #NormaKamali one-piece for all these years wondering if I would ever be able to wear it again," she captioned her social media post with tags #thisis55, #strong, and other powerful words.

Towards the end of 2023, Lake posted on Instagram about her ongoing fitness and health journey she has been on with husband Ross Burningham, and losing 30+ pounds.

"I really want to share, because we did this without relying on a pharmaceutical. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.) But neither of us were prediabetic and both of us felt like we wanted to at least try and do it on our own.”
