Donald Trump wins Missouri Republican caucuses: AP

Former President Donald Trump won the Missouri Republican caucuses Saturday, taking home another victory in one of the final contests before Super Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

If a candidate receives more than 50% of the vote at a caucus site, they receive all of the site’s delegates to the national convention. If no candidate receives a majority of support, the delegates are allocated proportionally. Any group of candidate supporters that gets fewer than 15% of caucus votes has to disband, and their votes can go to another candidate if they choose.

Caucus sites are required to report their results to the state party by 5 p.m. local time, but it’s not clear how long the party will take to count the results.

Only voters who signed an oath pledging their allegiance to the Missouri Republican Party were eligible to participate in the caucuses. A 2022 law eliminated the traditional primary in the state and instituted caucuses instead.

On Tuesday, 15 states will hold their primary, the most of any on one day in the lead up to the Republican nominating convention in Milwaukee this summer.
