Renan Ferreira Explains What Will Surprise Francis Ngannou In Their Upcoming PFL MMA Clash (Exclusive)

PFL star Renan Ferreira knows that Francis Ngannou holds a distinct experience advantage ahead of their planned clash in the SmartCage.

But, Ferreira feels he'll surpass the difficulty of any of Ngannou's previous adversaries, including Tyson Fury.

Ferreira knocked out Bellator Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader at PFL vs. Bellator last month in Riyadh . The victory secured a shot at Ngannou in the cage, who is expected to return to MMA later this year.

It's been a long time since Ngannou fought in MMA. During his UFC tenure, he fought some of the greatest heavyweights in the sport's history, including Stipe Miocic and Ciryl Gane.

Ferreira aims to show Ngannou something he's never seen in his fighting career.

Renan Ferreira 'No Match' For Francis Ngannou's Past Opponents

During a recent exclusive sitdown with MMANews , Ferreira was asked what he'll bring to the PFL SmartCage that Ngannou hasn't faced in his career.

"I don't think he's ever fought someone with the power, and precision, that I have," Ferreira said. "My movement inside the cage, how agile I am for a heavyweight. These are things that...I'm no match for the guys he's fought. He's never fought someone with these type of attributes."

Ferreira has been on a roll over his last few fights. He won the 2023 PFL heavyweight title with a wild knockout of Denis Goltsov and has earned career victories over the likes of Matheus Scheffel and Maurice Greene.

Ngannou will make his professional boxing return against Anthony Joshua on March 8. He lost to Tyson Fury in his professional boxing debut last year.

Ferreira has been counted out numerous times in his career, and will likely be a significant betting underdog against Ngannou. But, Ferreira is ready to shock the world once again.
