Fortnightly Club selects Habas as Senior Girl Honoree

The Rice Lake Fortnightly Club recognized Lucie Habas, daughter of John and April Habas, as their senior girl honoree on Feb. 27.

The senior is an excellent student and is a member of the National Honor Society.

She is an avid basketball player and is a varsity basketball captain. She also played on the volleyball team that went to the state tournament.

Habas served as an FBLA officer and was a Badger State alternate. She participated in the FBLA Forrest Run and Feed My Starving Children. She also helped rake yards with the Warrior Leadership Team.

The senior has many work experiences outside of school. She worked at the Corner Store, Special Olympics, her church nursery, with Coaches vs. Cancer, the blood drive and Meals on Wheels.

She is very involved in her church service projects, such as Haiti.

Habas believes her most important contribution to her community is her care and love for others. As a Christian, she cares about her community and how to help one another.

In the future, Habas plans to attend a four-year university to major in kinesiology and minor in business and Christian studies.
