Mannford, Oklahoma-Police Resource Officer Arrested for First-Degree Rape

In Mannford, Oklahoma, a Mannford police officer finds himself in custody at the Creek County jail, accused of rape, according to Creek County Sheriff's Office.

Matthew Waltman was apprehended on Tuesday, facing charges of first-degree rape and providing alcohol to a minor. Notably, Waltman also served as a school resource officer for the district, according to Mannford Schools.

Mannford Public Schools has released a statement stating that it is cooperating with an investigation into an employee's allegations of misconduct.

In their statement, the district says they “immediately contacted the proper authorities and continue to work with the impacted student, the family of the student, and all other proper authorities.”This is an arrest, not a conviction.
