Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer must be replaced

I am writing today to express my extreme disappointment with my Federal Congressional Representative. Representative Chavez-DeRemer’s voting record this term on environmental issues important to me and her constituents. She has voted against the EPA Cleaner Automobile and Truck Standards Act, voted for limiting climate change emissions reporting, and for HR 4821 which cuts spending on environmental protection agencies and the Department of the Interior. She voted to cut limits on soot pollution which disproportionately affects children of color. Representative Chavez-DeRemer voted for HR-1, which, under the guise of decreasing energy costs, actually places polluters over the people the government is supposed to serve. These voting stances among others have earned Representative Chavez-DeRemer a 31% voting score from the League of Conservation Voters.

In addition, she has not supported the bill passed in the Senate which funds aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. She should immediately support the discharge petition put forward by the Democrats to bring this vital aid to the floor. For the above reasons, Representative Chavez-DeRemer should be replaced this November. I urge my fellow CD-5 voters to vote against Representative Chavez-DeRemer this November.
