Tar Heels seek first outright ACC title since 2017 with a win against Duke

There's more than just pride on the line in the second top 10 matchup of the season between UNC and Duke this Saturday.

Why it matters: If No. 7 UNC beats No. 9 Duke in Durham this weekend, the Tar Heels will be the outright ACC regular-season champions for the first time since 2017.

If the Blue Devils win, the two schools will share the title.
Both teams are also still trying to build a case to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

State of play: Duke and UNC have been by far the two best teams in the ACC this season.

Since losing in Chapel Hill, Duke has won eight of their last nine games, and they've only lost one home game in the ACC all season.
UNC is coming off a commanding, 33-point victory against Notre Dame on Tuesday.
