In a recent interview with MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart, President Biden reaffirmed his dedication to supporting Black Americans, emphasizing his administration's track record in bolstering Black-owned businesses and fostering job creation. The exchange, aired on Sunday, shed light on Biden's unwavering commitment to the Black community.

Responding to Capehart's question about whether he felt he had lived up to his promise to have the backs of Black Americans, Biden asserted, "I have your back, as much as any president has in American history since Lyndon Johnson." He underscored the significant strides in Black wealth, noting a remarkable 60 percent increase across the board.

Biden highlighted his engagements with Black business owners who have benefited from government loans and direct payments, essential lifelines that have propelled their ventures forward. "There’s not a single thing they can’t do given a shot," Biden asserted, emphasizing the transformative power of opportunity. He extended this sentiment to encompass Hispanic and Asian Americans, citing endorsements from key political action committees representing these communities.

The endorsements from the AAPI Victory Fund, the Collective PAC, and the Latino Victory Fund, coupled with a $30 million commitment to mobilize communities of color, underscored the resonance of Biden's policies within diverse demographics. The administration's support for minority businesses has yielded tangible results, with more small businesses opening than at any other time in the past five decades.

Central to Biden's economic agenda is the promotion of American-made products and the empowerment of American workers. "I’m going to make sure that 20 percent of all that goes to minority businesses, to small businesses," Biden affirmed, highlighting the administration's efforts to foster inclusivity and economic growth. Notably, this commitment has already surpassed expectations, with 21 percent of resources directed towards minority businesses.

As President Biden continues to navigate the complexities of governance, his steadfast commitment to uplifting Black Americans remains a cornerstone of his administration's agenda. Through targeted initiatives and inclusive policies, Biden seeks to not only address historical inequities but also forge a more equitable and prosperous future for all Americans.
