The Mustangs started last week with a round two win in the Section 5AA tournament, beating Watertown-Mayer 70-59 at home.

Watertown-Mayer struggled in conference play, finishing with a 4-10 Wright County West record, but did pick up several non-conference wins to earn a 12-14 overall record. The Royals had three wins in their final five regular season games.

Maranatha trailed 31-27 at halftime, responding with a 43-point second half. McCrimmon led the scoring with 27 points for the Mustangs.
