FL Is Getting Several "Big Chicken" Eateries From A Basketball Player Called "Bigger" Than The Game

    2024-03-12

If you live in Florida, you know it's not unusual for celebrities and sports figures to open or endorse restaurants in the Sunshine State. There's even a niche for basketball players.

Tiger Woods has his restaurant The Woods Jupiter and Michael Jordan has his 1000 North.

1000 North is waterfront and features fine dining, but a new restaurant that is expanding in Florida (and getting a new store soon) is also brought to you by a basketball player, but is casual, and is easier on the wallet.

And it is coming from a basketball player who Bleacher Report says is "bigger" than basketball.

About Big Chicken: The company strives to capture the flavors of Shaquille O'Neal's childhood favorites with the modern bold flavors of today. It offers chicken in various varieties and features sides such as Cheez-It macaroni and cheese.

For those who have a sweet tooth, the restaurant offers ice cream and shakes.

Feedback: Since this restaurant isn't in Florida yet, I can't offer Florida feedback, but Los Vegas reviewers give the restaurant 4.5 out of 5 stars on the platform. Someone with the handle TravelinTeacher06 wrote:

"The food was good! The menu is creative. The thin-cut fries were well-seasoned and tasty. I would categorize it as a fast-food joint, although that is not what I was expecting - it is very very casual. The service was great! We would go back when in the city again."

Multiple Upcoming Florida Locations: According to the restaurant's website, there are 3 Florida stores expected in 2024. The first location is at Lake City's Southeast Centurion Court in early 2024.

The second is at NW 87th Avenue in Doral in mid-2024. And the third is on Michigan Street in Orlando, also in mid-2024.

According to Fox 35, 40 stores are eventually planned in the Florida panhandle.

According to That's So Tampa, stores are also planned for Tampa, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

The author is not affiliated with Big Chicken or any other restaurants.
