In a recent interview with Knox News , Parton revealed she believes Beyoncè recorded a version of the song and plans to include it on her forthcoming Country album. "Well I think she has,” Parton said in response to Beyoncè covering the classic. “I think she's recorded 'Jolene' and I think it's probably gonna be on her Country album, which I'm very excited about that... I love her! She's a beautiful girl and a great singer."

While Parton made sure to clarify she doesn’t know anything for sure, what we do know is Bey’s most-recent songs; “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which she released following her Country album announcement during the Super Bowl will be included on the project.

Whether the album includes a cover of "Jolene" or not, Parton has made it known that Beyoncè has her full support in the Country space. A couple weeks ago, Parton took to social media to congratulate Beyoncè on her crossover, Billboard #1 and share her excitement for Bey’s forthcoming Country album arriving March 29.

“I’m a big fan of Beyoncè and very excited that she’s done a Country album,” Parton shared in a written statement. “So, congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album.”

Parton’s support for Beyoncè appears to stretch long past the Country album announcement. During her interview, she also shared that both queens have communicated fairly regularly over the past few years. "We've kind of sent messages back and forth through the years,” Parton revealed. “And she and her mother were like fans, and I was always touched that they were fans, and I always thought she was great."

Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” has already made a big splash in the Country genre as it topped Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart last month making her the first Black, female artist ever to snag a number one spot on. Additionally, the song was the most added song at Country radio upon its release and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 while her second song, “16 Carriages,” debuted at No. 9, giving her two Top 10 spots.

The full album, Renaissance Act II, will release later this month, marking her eighth studio LP.
