Prince William County is taking a significant step forward in its efforts to enhance recreational opportunities and community engagement by seeking input on the proposed Indoor Sports & Events Center. Scheduled for April 10th and 11th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, these community engagement sessions will provide residents with an opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas regarding this ambitious project.

The proposed Prince William County Sports and Event Center aims to address a crucial need for indoor sports facilities in the area while also serving as a venue for a variety of special events. With the potential to be developed in North Woodbridge, this multi-sport facility promises to cater to the diverse interests of county residents, from athletics to corporate gatherings.

MEB Contractors have stepped forward with an unsolicited proposal to design, build, and operate the facility, aligning with the Board of County Supervisors' directive to explore public-private partnerships. This collaboration opens doors to innovative solutions and ensures that the facility meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

The proposed amenities of the Indoor Sports & Events Center are impressive, offering a versatile space that can accommodate a wide range of activities. From basketball courts to volleyball courts, pickleball courts to a hydraulic banked indoor track, the facility is designed to host various sports events while also serving as a venue for graduations, trade shows, expos, and community gatherings.

With features such as spectator seating for up to 5,000 people, multi-purpose rooms, lounges, dining areas, and administration spaces, the center promises to be a vibrant hub for both sports enthusiasts and event organizers alike. Moreover, its potential to catalyze ancillary commercial development further underscores its significance as a catalyst for economic growth in the region.

The community engagement sessions on April 10th and 11th, located conveniently at 10501 Copeland Dr in Manassas and Freedom High School in Woodbridge respectively, provide residents with a platform to shape the future of recreational infrastructure in Prince William County. By actively participating in these sessions, individuals can contribute to the realization of a facility that not only meets their needs but also enhances the overall quality of life in the community.

Doesn't matter what part of Woodbridge or PWC it's built in, crime will follow. Teens don't have the self discipline to avoid trouble or a place to spend free time and better themselves.
