BISMARCK, N.D. ( KXNET ) — Senator Kevin Cramer is running for his second term in the Senate, and this week, he received an endorsement from former president Donald Trump.

In a statement, Cramer says he was one of the first members of congress to support Trump back in 2016.

In response to receiving the endorsement of Donald Trump, Senator Kevin Cramer has released the following statement:

“In 2016, I was one of the first members of Congress to endorse Donald Trump and his America First Agenda. I worked closely with him when he was president to roll back burdensome regulations, secure our southern border, and protect our energy and agriculture industries.

“It is an honor to receive the support of former President Donald Trump as I campaign for re-election to the United States Senate.”

In the statement shared by Truth Social, here’s what the former president said about Sen. Cramer:

“Senator Kevin Cramer is doing a fantastic job representing the incredible people of North Dakota in the United States Senate. During my administration, Kevin worked closely with me to create Space Force, which continues to Protect and Defend our Great Country. Kevin has been with me from the very beginning, helping advance our America First Agenda. In the Senate, he is working hard to Secure the Border, Grow the Economy, Cut your Taxes, Eliminate Needless Regulations, Support our Veterans, and Fight for our Constitutional Rights, including our under siege Second Amendment. Kevin Cramer has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”
