I’ve had a hate-hate relationship with TRPA since their inception. My father’s construction business went from about 25 employees to 3 when they put their construction moratorium in place in the late 70’s. We watched many Tahoe construction families go broke from their policies. I can thank them for changing the trajectory of my engineering degree from working in my family business to having to swim the rapids of the heavy engineering construction world, so maybe I should thank them for my successful career. They have set up a system where only those in the know can get anything built. The network of Ex TRPA employees working as consultants to monied clients has set the stage. If you have the money, you can get your project approved. For the average joe, building in Tahoe is out of reach. Building worker housings is an unobtainable dream. Once again, thanks TRPA

🤣 oh the irony! it was their policies and practices that brought us to this point in the first place! congratulations TRPA! You've achieved exactly what you wanted 15-30 years ago.
