    Man sentenced to 35 years in murder of girlfriend in Bridgeport

    A Bridgeport judge has sentenced Corey Ramos to 35 years in prison for the death of his girlfriend.

    Jennifer Brelsford, with whom he shared a son, was found stabbed and strangled in her Bridgeport apartment in October 2020.

    Brelsford had two protective orders against Ramos at the time of her death.

    During jury selection for his trial in January, Ramos took a deal in the case. He pleaded guilty to murder and violation of a protective order.
