Lake Oswego theater announces plays for upcoming season

The Lakewood Theatre Company will offer award-winning musicals, a mystery thriller, a comedic romp and more during its 2024-25 season.

The company that runs programming at the Lakewood Center for the Arts announced its schedule of plays from July through June 2025 in a press release.

The theater company will first show “Jersey Boys,” a Tony and Grammy award-winning musical following a rock ‘n roll group in the 1960s, from July 12-Aug. 18. Then, Lakewood will show “Rossum’s Universal Robots,” a science fiction play that zeroes in on the moral questions surrounding artificial intelligence, in September and October, “A Christmas Story the Musical” in November and December, the mystery thriller “The Maltese Falcon” in January and February, the frequently-requested comedy Noises Off” from late February to early April and “Groundhog Day the Musical” from late April to early June.

Lakewood will also continue to perform scaled-down productions of obscure plays through its Lost Treasure Collection.
