    Chilton offender denied parole during March 6 hearings

    The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 21 hearings on March 6, one of which was for a Chilton County offender.

    Jerry Dewayne Carden was denied parole and received no reset date by the board. Carden had no one speak in favor or against him being granted parole. Carden is currently serving a 48-month sentence for a Possession of a Controlled Substance-Class D charge that began on Aug. 25, 2023. Carden has served nine months of the 48-month sentence so far.
